Wrestling Program

Broken Arrow Public Schools wrestling program (Class 6A) is one of the most storied programs in the state of Oklahoma. The Tiger wrestlers have amassed 20 state championships as well as 67 individual state championships. They have been ranked nationally for 12 out of the last 19 years. BAPS has been, and continues to be a perennial powerhouse in the state of Oklahoma, as well as the nation.

State Champions: 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2019, 2020

Dual State Champions: 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2008, 2011, 2014, 2019, 2020

The wrestling program is for students in 7-12 grade. New for the 2019-2020 season, Broken Arrow will be the first district in the state the to offer a girls wrestling program.

There are no tryouts for wrestling, however, students wishing to wrestle need to enroll in the sixth-hour athletic class. There are opportunities to wrestle at the middle school, ninth grade, junior varsity and varsity level.

Physicals (physical form) are mandatory. In order to participate in any athletic activity for any school year, the athlete must turn a current physical into the coach. Only physicals dated after May 1 of the current school year will be accepted for tryouts and will be valid through the end of the following school year.
