With 12 State Championships (11 in fast pitch and one in slow pitch), Broken Arrow Public Schools (BAPS) has more softball state titles than any large school - Class 3A or larger - in Oklahoma. In the 2014-2015 school year, the Lady Tigers were runners-up in fast pitch and won the slow pitch Class 6A championship by run-ruling their way through the state tournament.
The BAPS softball program (Class 6A) is for girls in 8 - 12 grades. To participate in the BAPS softball program, athletes must tryout. Tryouts are held in the spring for the next school year and this information will be posted under the "Tryout/Camps Information".
The BAPS softball program has two types of softball. The fall program is fastpitch and the spring program is slowpitch.
There are three teams for the fastpitch program. These are varsity, junior varsity, and 8th grade teams. Slowpitch only has a varsity-level team.
Physicals (physical form) are mandatory. In order to tryout or participate in any athletic activity for any school year, the athlete must turn a current physical into the coach at the time of tryouts. Only physicals dated after May 1 of the current school year will be accepted for tryouts and will be valid through the end of the following school year.
