Amy Howe, Head Varsity Cheer Coach
Coach Howe is in her 17th year of coaching Varsity Cheer squads in Oklahoma. She has coached at Broken Arrow for 15 years and 1 year at Bixby High School. Amy grew up in Broken Arrow and attended BA Public Schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade. After graduating from BAHS, she attended Oklahoma State University where she received a B.S. degree in Physical Education.
Coach Howe began cheering in the 6th grade and cheered for 11 years. She was a Varsity cheerleader at BAHS and a four-year member of the OSU All-Girl Cheerleading squad. That squad was back-to-back NCA Collegiate National Champions while she was a member. As a coach, her teams have been Regional, State, and National Champions.
Coach Howe is an active member of the Oklahoma Cheer Coaches Association, currently serving as that organization's president. She has served as Region 7 Representative for the past 5 years. She was named the Oklahoma Coaches Association Cheer Coach of the Year for 2017-2018 and is a five-time recipient of the Region 7 Cheer Coach of the Year. Coach Howe is AACCA Safety certified and trained in CPR. She travels the country during the year judging cheerleading competitions for various companies.
