Tigers qualify 15 for state swim meet

Rachel Kramer qualified for state swim meet in two individual freestyle events.

Led by Annie Kramer’s two third place finishes in the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke, the Broken Arrow Lady Tiger swimmers placed fourth in the Class 6A East Regional and qualified nine swimmers for the Feb. 16-17 State Swim Meet at the Edmond Aquatic Center.

The Broken Arrow Boys qualified six swimmers for the state meet, led by brothers Nik and Joe Natale, who qualified in a total of seven events. Nik, a senior, qualified in the 50-yard freestyle, 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay. Joe, a sophomore, qualified in the 100-yard backstroke, 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay. Overall, Broken Arrow boys places sixth in the regional meet.

The Natales are not the only BA Tiger siblings to qualify for state as freshman Rachel Kramer will join sister, Annie, in Edmond. Rachel qualified in the 200 and 500 freestyle and the 200 freestyle relay.
